JYOCO jewellery studio Poznań — Joanna Krotofil-Owsian goldsmith and sculptor at work

About

JYOCO Jewellery is an independent jewellery studio in Poznań founded by jewellery designer, goldsmith and sculptor Joanna Krotofil-Owsian.

Joanna's creative journey began in 2002 with an artistic education focused on sculpture, where she developed a fascination with three-dimensional form, proportion, balance and the relationship between an object and its surrounding space. This sculptural way of thinking remains at the heart of every JYOCO design.

Over time, her interest in form and material led her into the world of jewellery. She completed professional goldsmith training and further specialised in working with precious metals and natural gemstones. In 2018, Joanna graduated with honours from the Alexandre Sidorov Optical Diamond Setting School in Antwerp, one of the world's most respected institutions for advanced microscopic diamond setting.

Alongside developing JYOCO, she also contributed to artistic projects connected with the Royal Castle in Warsaw, where precision, craftsmanship and respect for traditional techniques played an important role.

Today, JYOCO combines sculpture, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary jewellery design. Every piece is created with meticulous attention to detail — from the first sketch and sculptural form to the precise setting of gemstones under a microscope.

Inspired by architecture, nature and contemporary sculpture, JYOCO creates artistic and bespoke jewellery designed to carry meaning, express individuality and remain with its wearer for years to come.

JYOCO represents more than two decades of experience working with form, combined with traditional goldsmithing craftsmanship and a contemporary approach to jewellery design.

Process - A Dialogue

Every JYOCO piece begins with a conversation.

We believe jewellery should not only be admired, but recognised - as an extension of the person who wears it.

This element of co-creation exists both in bespoke projects and in the personalisation of our collections.
Clients can refine metal, finish or gemstones - shaping each piece into something distinctly their own.

From the first exchange to the final form, the process remains open, precise and considered.
It is a dialogue - one that transforms emotion, memory and intention into a physical object.

Craft & Approach

At the core of our work lies respect - for craftsmanship, for material, and for a more considered way of creating.

Each piece is made to order.

This is a deliberate choice - allowing us to minimise excess, work responsibly and create with intention rather than volume.

We work with selected materials and trusted suppliers, focusing on durability, quality and longevity.

Every detail is refined, every form intentional.

Jewellery, for us, exists between object and meaning - something to be worn, but also to be kept.

For Whom

For those who value individuality over excess.

For those who seek meaning, not decoration.

For women who make conscious choices and see jewellery not as an accessory, but as a natural extension of identity.

For those who find value in form, presence and personal expression rather than following fleeting trends.

Created in Poznań, JYOCO's artisan jewellery is designed to accompany life's meaningful moments, gather memories, acquire new meanings and evolve alongside the story of the person who wears it.
